Dave Baumgartner, or "DB" as he is nearly universally known, is a remarkably versatile vocal percussionist who drums with a talent that is beyond his years. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Dave is a self-taught percussionist who began learning his craft while he was still in high school, amazing and annoying his friends and family on a daily basis. Dave continued to hone his skills while working with the CARA-nominated Vocal Tonic of Atlanta, GA, and continues to learn new tricks and styles. DB has toured the country as a sought-after mouthdrumming instructor and workshop panelist, as well as a performer. Dave also toured the country with Orlando-based 4:2:Five, and still gigs with them occasionally. Dave toured the Caribbean on the Celebrity Summit cruise ship with a doo-wop quartet. Dave is also a member of another Washington DC vocal band, Static Flow, and has just released an album with them. He performs occasionally with Toxic Audio, in venues from cruise ships to Las Vegas. Dave looks forward to a long career of spitting into microphones, and is excited to be one of the newest additions to Almost Recess!
